Abstract
Obesity is a chronic multifactorial condition characterized by excessive fat accumulation and strongly associated with comorbidities such as type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. This study aimed to analyze the pharmacological options available for obesity management, evaluating their efficacy, safety, and impact on patients’ quality of life. A literature review was conducted addressing lipid absorption inhibitors, satiety modulators, drug combinations, and off-label use. Findings indicate that pharmacotherapy contributes to weight reduction and comorbidity control, highlighting the essential role of pharmaceutical care. It is concluded that a multidisciplinary approach integrating medication, nutritional reeducation, physical activity, and psychological support is fundamental for sustainable outcomes
