CLINICAL GUIDANCE IN CONTEPORARY NURSING: THE APPLICATION OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN SUPPORTING NURSE´S DECISION MAKING
Main Article Content
Abstract
Artificial intelligence has emerged as a strategic tool in nursing by enhancing the accuracy, speed, and safety of clinical decision-making. Its ability to process large volumes of data and identify complex patterns supports more effective interventions. However, limitations such as the lack of sensitivity to the human dimensions of care, along with ethical concerns related to bias, transparency, and data security, underscore the need for active nurse involvement in the implementation and development of these technologies. Ongoing training is essential to critically, ethically, and patient-centeredly integrate AI, preserving the nurse's role as the main agent in clinical decision-making and in leading patient care
