ANALYSIS OF THE EPIDEMIOLOGICAL PROFILE OF HOSPITALIZATIONS DUE TO CLASSICAL DENGUE IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SANTOS: FROM 2023 TO 2025

Abstract

This paper presents a study of hospitalizations due to classic dengue fever in the municipality of Santos. Dengue fever is a highly prevalent arbovirus in Brazil. Among the factors that trigger this situation are climate, lack of basic sanitation, and urbanization. The data were obtained from TABNET/DATSUS, and scientific articles from the Google Scholar platform and government websites were also used. The results revealed that dengue patients were mostly young white adults, and that there was a variation in gender. Given these results, public health strategies, along with additional studies, are needed to reduce cases
