ANALYSIS OF DRUG INTERACTIONS IN HYPERTENSIVE PATIENTS

Abstract
This study aims to analyze drug interactions in hypertensive patients followed at the university clinic of a private institution located in the city of Santos, São Paulo. Preliminary results indicated a predominance of females (54.3%) and a higher concentration of patients aged between 70 and 80 years (36.6%). Reports of adverse effects, such as neck pain, headache, gastric pain, and fatigue, were also identified. These results reinforce the importance of pharmaceutical monitoring in the prevention and management of these interactions, considering the risks involved, especially in elderly and polymedicated populations. It is concluded that the analysis of drug interactions is a fundamental tool for promoting the rational use of medications
