HUMAN BONE SAMPLES AS A DNA SOURCE FOR FORENSIC IDENTIFICATION
Main Article Content
Abstract
DNA extraction from bones is significant alternative in more complex cases in the forensic investigation scenario, especially in situations where there is greater degradation in tissues that could present viable material. Although environmental factors such as temperature and moisture affect the preservation of genetic material, adapted extraction methods allow the recovery of DNA profiles even under adverse conditions. Therefore, DNA from bone samples remains a promising resource for forensic science challenging scenarios
