Abstract

The study aimed to identify and assess the prevalence of the march freezing in individuals with Primary Parkinsonism. This was a cross-sectional descriptive study conducted with 12 participants treated at the teaching clinic of the Faculty of Physiotherapy at Unisanta. Research instruments included a questionnaire for sample characterization, the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE), the Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS), the Hoehn and Yahr Scale, and the Freezing of Gait Questionnaire (NFOG-Q). The results indicated a mild stage of the disease, preserved cognition, and gait freezing in 75% of participants, highlighting the importance of early screening and continuous follow-up to prevent falls and improve quality of life
