Main Article Content
Abstract
Childhood respiratory diseases are one of the main reasons for pediatric hospitalization. Outpatient physical therapy care aims to monitor these children to aid in post-discharge recovery, as well as to strengthen and mitigate the impact of more chronic diseases such as asthma that may require hospitalization. This descriptive and observational study aimed to assess the epidemiological profile of 30 children aged 0 to 12 years treated at the Pediatric Pneumofunctional Outpatient Clinic of the Physical Therapy Clinic of Santa Cecília University. This study collected information from medical records between February and December 2024, with a total of 30 patients. The results showed that the patients had an average age of 3.4 ± 3.3 years, 53.3% were female, and the most frequent diagnoses were asthmatic bronchitis (26.7%) and bronchiolitis (23.3%)
