Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the strategic development actions of the Brazilian women's football by the Brazilian Football Confederation, in accordance with the recommendations of FIFA's Women's Football Strategy and the Federal Government's National Strategy for Women's Football. Qualitative research was carried out using content analysis. Documents from the CBF's official website were analyzed to identify strategies described in common with FIFA and federal government documents. CBF strategy is to organize and commercialize championships. No records were found of CBF strategies that seek to train women for the highest positions in football, or to encourage women's participation in management and coaching positions on football teams
