SUPPORT AND HEART RATE MONITORING SYSTEM FOR PSYCHOLOGICAL DIAGNOSTIC ASSISTANCE

Abstract
With the increase in mental health disorders such as anxiety, there is a growing need for solutions that help professionals in the field of mental health. The E-MIND project was designed as a support tool for therapists, using the MAX30102 heart rate sensor connected to an ESP32 to monitor patients’ physiological alterations during their sessions. The project consists of a desktop application for professionals and a mobile app to support the patients. The results show that the system monitors and stores the data measured by the sensor, and that it is possible to correlate heart rate spikes with reports of high emotional stress. In conclusion, E-MIND is a tool with the potential to assist in the diagnosis and monitoring of patients
