GYM OCCUPANCY MONITORING USING SENSORS
Main Article Content
Abstract
The work presents the development of a real-time monitoring system for gym equipment occupancy, using MPU6050 sensors integrated with the ESP32 microcontroller. The objective is to optimize the user experience by reducing queues and organizing workouts, while also providing strategic data for managers regarding usage patterns. The methodology involved testing motion sensors, 3D printing the prototype, and validation in a laboratory environment. The results demonstrated accuracy in usage detection and a discreet design suitable for the fitness environment, confirming the feasibility of the solution, with potential for expansion through integration with applications, generation of detailed reports, and predictive maintenance, enabling gyms to operate with automated mechanisms
