Abstract
This paper presents the development of an automatic gate prototype for rainwater containment in buildings, aiming to minimize damage caused by urban flooding. The project involves 3D modeling, functional analysis and study of materials for resistance and durability. Friction in hydraulic systems, buoyancy and rainfall calculations are discussed to dimension the gate efficiency
