COMPARISON BETWEEN THE PRACTICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL POWERS OF A PNEUMATIC CONVEYOR
Main Article Content
Abstract
Pneumatic conveying is widely used for moving bulk materials, with advantages such as low maintenance costs and ease of automation, but it presents challenges like high energy consumption. This study analyzed the motor power of a pneumatic system, comparing theoretical and experimental values. The practical power was 0.6 HP and the theoretical power was 1.24 HP, with differences attributed to calculation methods, materials (acrylic vs. stainless steel), and pipe diameters. These results highlight the importance of calibrating system parameters to optimize energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact
