ECOTOXICOLOGICAL STUDY OF ANIMAL-BASED BIODIESELS: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS BETWEEN BOVINE AND SWINE TALLOW
Main Article Content
Abstract
The study evaluates the freshwater toxicity of biodiesel produced from bovine and swine fats, using Daphnia similis as a model organism. The biodiesel was obtained through transesterification and tested at different dilutions according to NBR 12713. The results demonstrated that the feedstock origin influences toxicity, with bovine biodiesel standing out as the most sustainable alternative for clean energy
