MAPPING THE DEMAND AND TRENDS IN THE SUPPLY OF TECHNOLOGICAL COURSES AT FATEC: OPPORTUNITIES FOR EXPANSION
Main Article Content
Abstract
The Technology Colleges of São Paulo State play a strategic role in public and free technological education. This study analyzed the evolution of the candidates-per-seat ratio across the network, with emphasis on Fatec Baixada Santista, considering variations by shifts, units, and areas. Data from the Fatec entrance exams (2007–2024) were collected using UiPath and processed in Alteryx. Results indicate higher demand for courses aligned with regional vocations, as well as a consistent preference for evening classes, especially in Software Analysis and Development and Logistics. The findings support strategic planning, highlighting mismatches between supply and demand in some programs and pointing to expansion opportunities better aligned with regional and technological needs
