Abstract

Metrology has evolved from antiquity to the present day, becoming a crucial factor in several fields of activity. In architecture, technological advances have led to more efficient digital solutions for environmental measurement. This work aims to develop a portable system for indoor digital mapping, integrating LiDAR sensor technology, the Arduino MKR WiFi 1010, and a Python-based interface to generate accurate 2D floor plans. The results demonstrate the sensor’s great performance capacity and efficient integration with Arduino in performing precise measurements of environments, satisfactorily meeting the objectives proposed by the project
