ENGINEERING SYSTEM: METHOD FOR PROJECT OPTIMIZATION IN CHOOSING FOUNDATIONS
Main Article Content
Abstract
Given the growing complexity of infrastructure projects and the need for more assertive technical decisions, the application of computer systems with artificial intelligence (AI) has become essential in civil engineering. Incorrect foundation selection is one of the main causes of structural failures, compromising the safety and cost of projects. This article presents the development of the EngenharIA system, built in Java, which recommends foundations based on geotechnical, structural, and regulatory parameters. The user-friendly interface and the use of AI make the tool useful for both professionals and students. The methodology ranges from literature reviews to case study validation, demonstrating that the system adheres to best practices in geotechnical engineering
