OPTIMIZATION IN THE ISSUANCE OF INVOICES AT BULK LIQUID TERMINALS: MASS FLOW METERS WITH CUSTODY TRANSFER VS. TRUCK SCALES
Main Article Content
Abstract
This technical article explores the optimization in the issuance of invoices (NF) at bulk liquid terminals, comparing the traditional method of truck scales with the use of mass flow meters with custody transfer. The primary objective was to quantify time reductions in the invoice issuance process resulting from the implementation of this advanced technology. The methodology was based on practical data analysis extracted from a practical survey, which details gains achieved with different customers. The results show substantial reductions in invoice issuance time, ranging from 5 to 89 minutes. It is concluded that the adoption of mass flow meters not only accelerates fiscal workflows but also provides comprehensive operational, financial, and strategic benefits, including higher shipment capacity and improved accuracy, elevating the terminal to a level of operational excellence and data-driven decision-making
