REVITALIZATION OF THE RENASCER RESIDENTIAL REST CLINICAL

Abstract

This project aims to promote improvements in vertical circulation, thermal comfort, accessibility, adequate climatization, and efficient lighting in the residential building Clínica de Repouso Renascer, based on technical research, regulatory standards, and neuroarchitecture concepts. Field visits and data surveys were conducted to assess the needs of the facility and its residents. Based on these principles, architectural changes were proposed to adapt the environments for elderly residents, considering their needs and limitations due to advanced age, in order to provide better quality of life, well-being, autonomy, and humanization of the spaces intended for residents in the aging process
