SUSTAINABLE BUILDING – ANALYSIS OF THE QUALITY OF ECOLOGICAL BRICKS AND THE USE OF GREEN WALLS
Main Article Content
Abstract
– The objective of this work was to develop a sustainable building using eco-friendly bricks and green walls, aiming to reduce costs, optimize resources, and improve thermal comfort. The procedure included soil collection and characterization, brick production using cement-to-sand ratios of 1:6, 1:8, and 1:10, compression strength and water absorption testing, and the construction of a green wall using reused plastic bottles as planters. The test results showed that the bricks met the water absorption requirements according to standards but did not reach the minimum structural strength required. However, the green wall performed well for sealing and landscaping purposes. The project achieved its goals and suggested further development to expand sustainable applications
