Abstract
This article seeks to analyze in a precise way the vulnerability of the coastal population, demonstrating how political decisions related to the port can affect this group even more. It also highlights the absence and ineffectiveness of public policies in general, with a focus on sea level rise and climate change affecting coastal communities, and the adaptation of port activities to climate adversities affecting the Ports of Santos. The analysis is based on the methodology of bibliographic review and documents from bodies responsible for research, emphasizing the concepts of environmental racism, justice, sustainability and climate change, and highlighting the importance of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
