Abstract

This research communication aims to carry out a study on the repercussion of the use of technologies in port operations, focusing on the movement of cargo in the Port of Santos, based on the demonstration of data that relate how technologies can impact the success of the port operational part. For the analysis, some theories of International Trade will be used, with a focus on Neotechnological Theories. The theoretical bases of these currents will be analyzed, highlighting how each one can influence the dynamics of global trade and the development of operations of the largest port in Latin America – Port of Santos. Through the thoughts expressed in Posner's works, it seeks to understand how theories influence the advancement of international trade and the influence of technological tools for the optimization and success of port processes in developed and underdeveloped countries in the world, aiming at greater efficiency in the delivery resulting from commercial exchanges
