THE RIGHT TO HEALTH CARE ACCESS FOR LGBTQIAPN+ POPULATION
Main Article Content
Abstract
The study examines the right to healthcare access for the LGBTQIAPN+ population, aiming to understand their perception of service use. Objectives include verifying the inclusion of the topic in medical school curricula and identifying regulations from the Federal and Regional Medical Councils. This qualitative, exploratory research used semi-structured interviews with users of both the public health system (SUS) and private healthcare. Results showed experiences of prejudice, negligence, and lack of professional preparedness. The study concludes that, although inclusive health policies exist, their implementation is insufficient. Strengthening professional training and integrating LGBTQIAPN+ health into medical curricula are urgent steps to ensure equitable and humanized care
