CHAMPION MINDSET: SKILLS BEYOND THE COURT
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research project aims to promote the comprehensive development and psychosocial skills of under-12 futsal athletes. It arises from the need to mitigate emotional challenges, such as anxiety and low self-confidence, associated with early training and the high demands of the sport. The "Champion Mentality" program was implemented through psychological dynamics during training, restoring a healthy sense of practice and avoiding unilateral development. The interventions improved communication, cooperation, and self-esteem, and prepared the athletes to deal with frustration and competitive stress. The results demonstrate that the interventions had a positive impact on the athletes' skills, daily interactions between them, and their competitive and emotional behavior during matches, consolidating the project's objective of promoting a healthier, more cooperative, and emotionally balanced sports environment
