THE FEMALE BODY AS A TERRITORY OF POWER: AN ANALYSIS OF THE CULTURAL CURRICULUM OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Main Article Content
Abstract
The proposal aims to address the female body in Physical Education classes from the perspective of the cultural curriculum. The goal is to understand how bodily practices in schools are influenced by power relations, gender, and society, highlighting the female body as a symbolic and political space, characterized by historical and cultural conflicts. The approach used is qualitative and bibliographic, based on the critical analysis of recent academic works addressing gender, the body, and Physical Education. The research reveals that, despite the persistence of stereotypes and practices that limit women's participation, the cultural curriculum presents a pedagogical path toward deconstructing paradigms and valuing diversity. It concludes that a critical analysis of the female body helps reconfigure educational practices and foster greater gender equality in educational institutions.
