ANALYSIS OF THE DESIGN OF A SKILL CAGE FOR A PEDIATRIC NEUROFUNCTIONAL PHYSIOTHERAPY CLINIC AND CREATION OF ACCESSORIES
Main Article Content
Abstract
The spider cage is a piece of equipment designed to treat neurological disorders such as cerebral palsy and autism, promoting recovery through intensive exercise. The Pediatric Neurofunctional Physiotherapy Clinic developed the sensory cage as an alternative, integrating a swing and developing accessories such as a climbing wall and a mini crawling climb. These elements aim to improve sensorimotor regulation, motor and cognitive development for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The structure, designed with Autodesk Inventor and made of carbon steel tubes, MIG/MAG welded, showed high safety. Preliminary results indicate significant benefits for patients, validating the effectiveness of the new approach.
