Abstract
This project aims to automate parking management through a license plate recognition system using OCR technology. The objective is to optimize operational efficiency and user experience by reducing reliance on manual methods and increasing accuracy in vehicle entry and exit control. The methodology included data collection in different angles and lighting conditions, evaluating performance based on recall, precision, and accuracy metrics. Results showed a recognition rate above 94% under ideal conditions, with performance drops in low-light environments. The system demonstrated positive results in controlled scenarios and has potential for improvements to enhance performance in adverse situations.
