THE PROFILE OF THE STUDENT IN A SECOND DEGREE LICENSURE IN DISTANCE LEARNING: CHALLENGES, MOTIVATIONS, AND LEARNING STRATEGIES

Abstract

This study analyzes the profile of students in a second degree course at Santa Cecília University, focusing on their motivations, challenges and learning strategies. The survey, conducted via questionnaire, addressed professional experience, essential skills, challenges in teacher training and perspectives on distance learning. The results indicate that 81% of students consider distance learning as effective as in-person teaching, but face challenges such as salary devaluation and lack of professional recognition. Continuing education was considered essential by 92% of students. The study highlights the importance of distance learning in the democratization of education, but also the barriers to digital inclusion.
