THE ROLE OF PFIZER IN THE DISTRUBUITION OF COVID-19 VACCINES IN BRAZIL

Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the search for effective vacines, with Pfizer standing out in mass production. In Brazil, logistical challenges, such as storage at -70°C, required infrastructure adaptations and strategic planning. This qualitative study examined vaccine distribuition, Pfizer’s impact, and negotiations with the government. The first batch arrived in April 2021, facing contractual and political barriers, but despite difficulties, vaccination progressed, reducing severe cases and deaths. This study highlights the importance of instutional cooperation and technological innovation in responding to future health crises
