Abstract

This study aims to demonstrate that the right to water is associated with the right to health and the right to life, as fundamental human rights. The research was conducted through a bibliographic review of scientific articles and specialized journals. The main conflicts in the world are linked to the dispute over water (and not oil), which defines the health, development and sovereignty of nations. Human civilization and development are not effective unless basic sanitation and drinking water are universalized, as a resource to be preserved, both quantitatively and qualitatively.
