Abstract

This research aimed to evaluate the possibility of producing a low-cost and highly efficient biosorbent for the removal of heavy metals from liquid effluents. After the procedures described, it was verified the possibility of producing a biosorbent from banana peels, a material discarded in domestic waste, which is showing excellent efficiency in the removal of Al3+ from liquid effluents in research associated with the master's dissertation of the first author.
