Abstract
Welding processes are widely used in the metallurgical, mechanical, civil construction, naval and other industries. Given the existence of different consumables, research, studies and experiments are of great importance for the search for innovations and operational advantages with emphasis on factors such as: time, costs and logistics. This study compared the performance of tubular and solid welding wire in the joining of 409 stainless steel pipes with carbon steel flanges. The results of the fatigue tests demonstrated the benefits of using tubular wire in relation to time, quality and productivity. From this type of comparison, data and parameters are extracted that allow the analysis of the feasibility in terms of advantages and limitations in changing the welding process.
