Abstract

This work proposes the study of the genus Philodendron Scotth and phylogenetic analysis according to the morphological similarity found in each species in the Botanical Garden Plantarum, in Nova Odessa. The genus Philodendron Schott is a group with great relevance to the family Araceae. Ten specimens were analyzed for cluster analysis with the characteristics selected through their morphology using absence and presence of states. The clade forms an important part of a scientific hypothesis of an evolutionary relational model among the organisms included in the proposed analysis, seeking relevant characteristics to form a monophyletic group and the valorization of apomorphies.
