Abstract
The National Postgraduate Meetings held by Universidade Santa Cecília aim to establish a specialized space for master's and doctoral students, as well as specialization courses from all over Brazil, to disseminate and discuss their technical and scientific work. This space is of great importance for students and advisors to discuss and evaluate opinions of colleagues and professors, sharing and disseminating knowledge generated in the various postgraduate programs in Brazil.
In 2018, we are at the VII National Postgraduate Meeting. In this edition, we had the registration of more than two hundred students with 88 works approved by the scientific committee. Works of excellent quality that were developed by students and professors of stricto sensu postgraduate programs, as well as some conclusion and outstanding works selected from lato sensu postgraduate programs.
The 2018 paper presentation event scheduled for November 9 and 10 featured panel presentations and oral presentations of papers, as well as a set of 16 mini-courses for scientific updating, which are listed below:

2. Use of R.O.V. (Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle) in scientific research (Biologist Amanda Aparecida Carminatto).
3. Not afraid of public speaking: how to make a successful presentation (Administrator Sílvia Lima Oliveira dos Santos)
4. The Importance of Solidification in the Manufacturing Processes of Metal Components – Application of an Advanced Real-Time X-Ray Filming Technique (Professor Dr. Felipe Bertelli)
5. Biodiversity and Food Security (Professor Dr. Alpina Begossi).
6. Ecomorphology of paleovertebrates (Professor Dr. Fabiana Rodrigues Costa Nunes).
7. Health plans: abusive clauses, ANS regulations and user rights (Dr. Marcelo Lamy).
8. Fisheries biodiversity in tropical oceans (Fisheries Engineer Thaiza Maria Rezende da Rocha Barreto)
9. Use of the Weibull distribution in the extraction of strategic information (Prof. Me. Willy Ank de Morais)
10. Thermal monitoring techniques and combustion diagnosis in industrial furnaces and boilers (Prof. Dr. Carlo Teófilo Salinas Sedano)
11. Fundamentals of renewable energy (Me. Guilherme Lanusckiewicz Marques)
12. The path to happiness, well-being and health: scientific evidence (Dr. Márcia Faria Rodrigues)

The event, organized by professors and master's students from the different UNISANTA postgraduate programs and held by UNISANTA, has the support of scholarship funding agencies (FAPESP, CAPES, CNPq), the UNISANTA Periodicals Portal and the Santos & Convention Bureau.
