Abstract
Sport fishing is one of the fastest growing human activities on the Brazilian coast. The present work sought to analyze the composition and abundance of the ichthyofauna captured by sport fishermen in the Sustainable Development Reserve of Barra do Una, Peruíbe - SP. The data were obtained through the monitoring of 27 landings of sport fishermen during the month of February, 2018. In total, 185 specimens belonging to 07 species, 07 genera, 06 families, 05 orders and 01 class were captured. The highest abundance was Centropomus parallelus (67%), followed by Micropogonias furnieri (12%), Eugerres brasilianus (9%), Aspistor luniscutis (5%), Cynoscion acoupa (4%), Caranx crysos (2%) and Polydactylus virginicus (1%). Only 15 copies were released because they did not have the minimum size established in legislation. The type of bait most used in the fisheries was natural bait (77%).
