Abstract
This text presents a report of teaching practice, through a middle study, with a group of 25 students of the 4th year of the municipal public school network, in the streets and monuments of the area known as the Historical Center of the City of Santos, located on the coast of the state of São Paulo. The objectives of this academic work are: to identify the main sociocultural elements that are inserted in these monuments and public spaces as living reflections of the urban territory, reflecting on such subsidies, from the construction of self-critical relations between the practice in the school environment and outside it , and the theoretical perspective of teacher praxis. To relate the contributions of the accomplishment of an activity of study of means to effective concretion of a significant learning on the part of the students. The methodological approach used to collect and analyze information was action research, allied to the theoretical assumptions of many autors like Horta and Grunberg. The results of this analysis point out reflections and paths for the improvement of the realization of middle studies, that is, pedagogical outputs as an instrument to enhance the teaching-learning process, in a significant way by the agents involved in it.
