Abstract

The importance of Santos-SP in the national economic scenario and public expenditures with employees' absence due to work-related accidents, are based on a study that illustrates the main causes of employee evasion due to accidents, as well as elucidating the main sectors of economic activity that suffer most from occupational health and safety reports. With the use of the tool of the "Observatório Digital de Saúde e Segurança do Trabalho", it was possible to glimpse all this information in a clear and objective way, and it can be used by public agents in initiatives that aim to combat the incidence of withdrawals.
