Spatial assessment of the invasion of the Morro da Nova Cintra Environmental Protection Area, Santos/ SP (2008-2017) Luciano Cristian Cabral, Alexandre Figueira de Pontes Junior, Mara Angelina Galvão Magenta

Abstract

The study deals with the assessment of invasion in the area of environmental protection, located at the top and slope of Morro da Nova Cintra, in Santos, SP, in the last decade (2008-2017). The study area was invaded, with clearing of vegetation in permanent protection area of Atlantic Forest, for construction of 76 illegal occupation units. The data indicate a loss of 27,069 m² of native vegetation.
