Abstract
Pollution from emerging pollutants has become a worldwide concern. Conventional sewage treatment is not sufficient for efficient treatment. The objective of this work was to verify the degradation of the methylene blue dye (AM) through the photolysis process in the presence of saline water. For the study, a continuous flow tubular reactor with Ultra Violet (UV) radiation was used inside. The results showed that the salinity caused an increase in the degradation of the dye in the first 20 minutes of the process.
