Abstract

Drug is the scientific name given to medicines, these have the purpose of curing diseases in humans and animals. However, the incorrect disposal of these drugs has compromised the environment, as well as altering its functionality, since often the disposal, for example, of antibiotics in the environment, make the bacteria resistant to the antibiotic in question. Another problem is contamination of natural resources such as drinking water, as this medicine returns diluted and consequently generates symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, abortion, tremors, insomnia, palpitations, sexual dysfunction and others. Therefore finding an efficient means of degrading these drugs or collecting them is essential. A simple questionnaire was then prepared and made available to a small group. As a result it can be concluded that the population does not have clarification of the importance of a correct disposal of these pollutants and their consequences generated to the environment.
