Abstract

The objective of this work was the theoretical presentation of a logistic corridor for the application of the pneumatic transport of solids concepts for long distance, under a combined dense and diluted phase regime, using soy as a solid load. Start of the route in the region of Paranapiacaba, metropolitan region of São Paulo, in a logistics platform directed to the Port of Santos, traced of 16 km. It is considered, for this simulation, that the friction factor for long distance is attenuated by the roughness of the walls of the pipelines, so that the transported soybean reaches its final destination with commercially acceptable breaking index. It is accepted, as innovation, that the roughness of the inner surface of the pipes will promote micro turbulence, reducing the coefficient of friction, resulting in a higher flow velocity. The system can operate solid density with 1% by volume in the diluted phase and dense phase up to 30% by volume, creating a new soybean transportation option, reducing the flow of trucks and trains in our port region.
