Abstract

Nowadays lumbar disc injuries affect people around the world, and multiple segments of the labor market causing withdrawal. But there are several forms of treatment, two of them are, resistance training, which by some is contraindicated due to inadequate overloads, but when combined with appropriate external loads resistance training (weight training) is proving very effective in pain improvement caused by injury. Another approach is the stabilization training segment (solo pilates). So we analyze these two approaches by visual analogue pain scale and anthropometric and the SF-36 questionnaire to identify which present better results in pain relief and body composition of practitioners solo pilates and weight training. We note that both training approaches are effective in minimizing the pain, however individuals who practice fitness have better body composition.
