Abstract
The Federal Constitution establishes health as a fundamental social right, both materially and formally. Before the creation of the Unified Health System (SUS) and the Federal Constitution of 1988, Brazil did not adopt the model of disease prevention, that is, the patient only cared for the disease when it was already installed. The creation of the SUS was aimed at people who need health care, but unfortunately, resources do not meet the demand, and it is necessary to wait, since it is not possible to provide immediate and full-time treatment for the entire population Brazilian With regard to decentralization, it has the function of redefining responsibilities among government entities in the conduct of health policy, involving the transfer of decision-making power, the management of providers and financial resources, previously concentrated at the federal level for states and , mainly for the municipalities. The strengthening of these governments is justified as a way of promoting democratization, improving efficiency in public policies, respecting the federative design and serving the territorial interests of the nation. The act of organization of this group is what is called Regionalization. Thus, this study has as main objective to carry out a research on the regionalization of health in Brazil. The research method adopted was through literature review, as well as scientific articles that deal with the topic.
