Abstract

 The purpose of this study is to examine the utilization of solar energy in Brazil, rural area, considering that it is known as an excellent alternative for the reduction of environmental impacts caused by the energetic necessities of the population. We must consider that Brazil, even with its enormous potential, makes very little use of solar energy, despite the legal benefits for its application. The subject has an enormous importance not only in social and environmental development, but especially in a financial relevance, due to the substantial savings that this kind of energy will result. The method used for this study was mainly exploratory: it was perform a field research as well as a review of literature. The generation, distribution and utilization of electric energy has met its apogee, according with what will be examined, with the n° 13.169/2015 Law, which regulates several tax benefits in this field.
