Abstract

The objective was to report the effect of therapeutic ultrasound and eccentric exercise on functional recovery and pain reduction in a corridor with patellar tendinopathy. A descriptive, retrospective study of the case report was carried out. For evaluation, the routine and characterization of runners questionnaire, the modified Blazin scale, the Victorian Institute of Sport Assessment-Patella (VISA-P BRAZIL) and the pressure pain threshold were used. Thus, the study concludes that the therapeutic association between the application of high final doses of therapeutic ultrasound and the eccentric exercise are effective for the reduction of the pain and functional improvement of a young runner with patellar tendinopathy Front of the scales mentioned.
