Abstract

Microplastics are absorbed in the tissues of living beings, including human, taking with them the chemicals, toxic and carcinogens used in their manufacture. The aim of this study was to synthesize negative aspects of microplastics in human health based on scientific literature. Data were collected from research of scientific articles in different countries between 2005 and 2019.
