Abstract

The PNRS was established in Brazil in 2010 and promotes reverse logistics systems, including pesticides, their waste and packaging, which once incorrectly disposed can compromise the environment, the society and the economy. The objective of this paper was to investigate if the banana’s producers that live in municipalities of Vale do Ribeira/SP know the PNRS and its relationship with the reverse logistics of pesticide packaging. The methodology adopted was exploratory, of a qualitative nature, using as a method a bibliographical and field research, applying the semi-structured questionnaire technique, directed to banana producers. The results demonstrate that many producers don’t know the Policy in question and its relevance to the sustainable development of the region.
