Abstract
Different types of piers are currently being built, but in piles, the techniques used are limited to structural concrete. Even in both formats, fouling attacks, and tidal fluctuations, play a key role in the surface wear of structures in the piers. The work aimed to evaluate the toxicological effects caused in oysters of the Brazilian Crassostrea species, which were in contact with cuttings painted with Weber waterproofing paint in an aquarium with adequate acclimatization, salinity and feeding. Where the complete of the samples and the retention time of the neutral red dye at times T0, T48 and T96 hours were evaluated, where a high stress level and absence of mortality among the organisms was verified during the evaluated periods.
