Abstract

The practice of unnecessary interventions and measures, as well as the high number of civil liability actions arouses the discussion about humanized childbirth. The lack of a correct definition of the term and clarification on the subject seems to be the cause of the occurrences and conflicts. In this text, we point out the conceptual core of humanized childbirth and the mistakes that accompany the term. With this, it is invested in trying to overcome the problem, if this is the cause.
