Abstract

The objective of this work is to demonstrate that after the implementation of the anti-miscomial law, families began to take full responsibility for the care of their families suffering from mental disorders, without government support or access to medicines and guidance. The research was limited to discussing the facts presented in the texts and consulted bibliography, the methodology was consultative research in books, articles, and legislation. It was concluded that, despite the difficulties presented here, the current model is feasible, requiring adjustments both in the delivery of medications and in psychological care to families.
