Abstract

This research seeks to investigate what orthothanasia is and its relationship with palliative care, which recognizes and takes cares with respect for human beings in their entirety. It addresses the differences between related institutes such as euthanasia, assisted suicide and dysthanasia and will analyze what are the current legislation for the effective insertion of palliative care in the Brazilian health system.
